“Let’s look at it through the telescope!” Geo exclaimed as we admired the glowing Full Wolf Moon last night. Christmas gifted us a beautiful child-sized telescope, opening a window to far-off wonders. This particular full moon, a perigee, closest to Earth in Cancer, illuminated our home and deepened my appreciation for the richness of subjectivity in our vibrant universe.

Who are you? 

These three words unlock the strength of the cosmos. One small question leads to a vast world.

This is where we begin.

We begin with you, the subjective individual. You are the center of this grand mystery we are about to explore. Your feelings, ideas, sensibilities, and tastes are to be considered in galactic magnitude measures of value.

Your thoughts and self-perception invite you to draw from and contribute to life in the universe. The universe is purposeful. This purpose is inherent within you and can only be revealed through your experimentation with this idea.

As the philosopher F.W.J. Schelling writes, “The highest principle is not to be proved but immediately grasped by intuition.” I ask you to take a leap of faith and accept this hypothesis: the universe is purposeful, and the subjective individual is central.

I have a model that is supportive of this hypothesis. It is elegant, simple, and preserved in the symbols of the enduring zodiac. What I have come to discover is a basic metaphysics preserved in these symbols. When arranged vertically, or romantically aspirationally, they form a torus field.

A torus field is a dynamic, donut-shaped energy structure that can be found in many places in nature, such as magnetic fields, weather systems, and galaxies. It represents cycles, balance, and the continuous recirculation of energy.

Arthur M. Young, in his theory of the reflexive universe, describes reality as inherently purposeful: the universe is not a closed or random system, but one that learns, adapts, and evolves through feedback. The torus thus becomes a fitting symbol for this process, capturing the cyclical movement of energy as well as the ongoing, purposeful development at the heart of the cosmos.

In our rapidly evolving digital era, where technology connects yet sometimes isolates us, the search for meaning and belonging feels more urgent than ever. This is your invitation to pause and recognize: you, as a subjective individual, are not a passive observer but an active participant in a purposeful universe.

Some truths, like your significance, are not proven but embraced through intuition. The ancient symbol of the torus, echoed in everything from galaxies to human creativity, and a vision of a reflexive, learning cosmos both suggest that your unique perspective is vital to the whole.

Now, more than ever, finding your place and trusting your inner sense of purpose strengthens your connection to the world around you. You matter. The universe moves forward, in part, because of your participation.
