In the spirit of Jupiter moving into Gemini, I aim to get my second book out this year. I’ll be sharing parts of it here. Continuing with the theme of the first book, this one will delve into the structures and processes revealed by the zodiac, helping people connect with their natural abilities and the powers they share with nature. Stay tuned!
Here is the intro:
2024’s total eclipse of the sun came right to my door in Vergennes ,VT. All I had to do was have some dear friends and family over and behold the magic. It was like having the King and Queen of the cosmos over for hors d’oeuvres.
We had plenty of preparation for the event. My five year old was looking through a blackened telescope at the library, we read books about it and stocked up on glasses. My mom said that the difference between a near total solar eclipse and a total solar eclipse was the difference between kissing a man and marrying a man.

And it was true. Before the sun went completely dark, the excitement in the air was romantic, surprising, invigorating. But everything that happened next was so awe-inspiring and complex, that to this day I am left thinking about it, and marveling at the grandness of its scope.
My sister said that some people might be inspired to scream, and that’s just what happened. She got a good recording of all of us going wild, with the children screaming “best day ever” amidst the hoots and howls. I remember being caught up in the cacophony and then looking back at the sun to find it completely eclipsed. It made me leap like a lizard into the air and spin around to take in the full 360 degrees of sunset. From here we all just stayed transfixed, screaming, hugging and crying (my mom!). Some stillness snuck in too. A gospel quieting of reverence.
And then, the light came back.
It was the quality of the light that surprised me the most. Bright white, like a spot light. A small amount of light at first, but bold, like we were the actors on a stage. As the light grew, the boldness and purity of it just grew more intense. My gal pal spun me in the air, initiating the intro to a waltz. Then she started waltzing with my 15 year old neighbor who she had just met moments before. The children went running wild into the grass. A football appeared. Everything was action. From the deck we played The Beatles Here Comes the Sun.
I have never in my life encountered such new light. It was unmistakable in its power to invigorate and renew.
The funny thing is, the light has remained looking that way to me. I don’t even really know how it looked before this event. I guess I just didn’t consider it. But now, the new morning quality of light is readily recognizable in its purity.
There is something about the immediate return of light, like a revelation, that is evergreen with its propensity to enliven and renew.
It is the purpose of this book to eclipse any stale light that lingers in your connection with astrology. I would like to render any notions of futility or passivity that comes from the offensive predictions of astrologers to complete obscurity. And in this limbo of darkness, in this potent space of what astrology is not, let the light return. Bold, invigorating, and lighting up what astrology really is; the reverence and wonder for the powers we share with nature.
